A Splash of Colour...

Updated: Dec 28, 2017

Every now and then a client request takes you down an interesting path and recently we had the chance to explore the colourful world of fused glass. It started when we were asked to make some contemporary bookcase room dividers which incorporated a set of bespoke double oak doors with glass panels. Our client had found a beautiful image of a door panel comprising of hundreds of coloured glass squares on pinterest (we love pinterst- millions of amazing design images from around the world) and wanted something similar.

After much internet searching, several phone calls and lots of emails we found Jo Vincent Glass, located in the heart of the Lake District, a glass designer who had a porfolio of stunning projects that used fused and laminated glass. After ordering some samples we set about commisioning Jo to make our glass panels.

Cutting the coloured glass squares.

Laying out the squares ready for the kiln.

The panels in the kiln ready to be fused.

The finished doors were absolutely stunning and just what our client had envisaged.

Please contact us if you would like to discuss a project.
